Hello!
My name is Adie Gullahorn, and I am a Graphic Design student at St. Edward's University.
I'm 21 years old and from Nashville, TN! I'm also a senior, graduating this May 2026.
This semester, I am working in a research group through the Kozmetsky Center and Professor Tim Braun. The point of this group is to work with civic engagement in Austin. I wanted to look into this theme through the lens of a conversation, with connections to my personal life. Thus, Made By Hand was born.
Made by Hand is a show about the ways people shape the places they call home.
Each episode, I’ll explore a different side of civic life here in Austin, Texas- through its food, its architecture, its music, and its film. Along the way, I’ll also be thinking about my hometown, Nashville, Tennessee, to see how our stories, sounds, and spaces overlap, and what both cities can teach us about community, creativity, and belonging. I am a student at St. Edwards’ University, who is learning about civic engagement in Austin, Texas, and applying it to my curriculum through research and interviews.
